2017 Chrysler 300 – price details
The upcoming 2017 Chrysler 300 is the newest luxury sedan by American carmaker. Having been introduced in 1955, the 300 series has served as a high-performance luxury car that was built in relatively few numbers, and this trend continues with the 2017 Chrysler 300. The series was discontinued twice and revived both times, stronger than before. The modern version is built on Chrysler’s LX platform, which features some minor improvements and updates, mostly centered around the front fascia and the engine.
New Design & Style
Exterior
As mentioned, the 2017 Chrysler 300 will come with a slightly different front fascia. Headlamps will be redesigned as will the grille. It will be much larger and will match the mesh and the LED lights. The back also benefitted from this facelift, making it appear unique compared to other Chrysler vehicles. The new spoiler is also very impressive, while the high profile and muscular appearance give off an aggressive vibe. The 20-inch optional wheels are back, although you could just stick to the “standard” 17s. Overall, the car now looks like a 300, but let’s see if it feels the part.
Interior
The interior of the new 2017 Chrysler 300 is astounding, as it features some of the most refined materials in the life of the series, making it look cleaner and classier than ever. These higher-quality materials include more wood and aluminum, which compose a significant part of the inserts and the central console. If the transmission is automatic, you can kiss the gearshift lever goodbye and say hello to my little rotary selector the likes you’d see in other Chrysler cars. The infotainment is covered via a 7-inch touchscreen display coupled with the Uconnect system.
Turning the three-spoke steering wheel has never been more entertaining. The signature themes are rumored to be back in a revised edition, featuring different color schemes and small perks inspired by different cities, in case you feel like “representing”.
The Engine range
Chrysler has yet to tell us more about the powertrain under the hood of the 2017 Chrysler 300. The engine will certainly see some change, in terms of power and fuel efficiency. We are talking about either a V-6 or a V-8, with roughly 300 hp and 270+ lb-ft of torque (for the basic model – the higher trims will be significantly more powerful), although this is just speculation at this moment. If it can’t reach 60 mph in under 6 seconds, the car won’t be worthy of the name.
We are most likely looking at a six-speed transmission, plus a rear-wheel drive. Having said that, the manufacturer has yet to confirm or deny any information regarding specs.
2017 Chrysler 300 Price
Chrysler has yet to reveal the price of this new addition to its series, although it should fetch roughly the same price as its predecessors, which was between $30,000 (for the base model) and $45,000 *for the best trim). Of course, the trim and additional equipment will significantly affect the price.
Release Date
The release date of 2017 Chrysler 300 has yet to be revealed, so in the meantime, late 2017 or early 2018 is our best guess.
The biggest rivals are Chevrolet Impala and Ford Taurus.
