2017 Pagani Huayra BC
Unlike with the Zonda, the Huayra was meant to be built in only 100 units because Pagani made a deal with its engine supplier, AMG, to build only 100 engines. Well, all those 100 units have already been sold and there are now rumors and clear evidence that an all new model is going to be released. Pagani so far confirmed that they are going to built a cabriolet version of the car as well as a higher performance model with the 2017 Pagani Huayra BC.
Both of these will be more powerful than the first generation and both of them are going to be lighter but only the BC will be the hardcore race-ready model.
More aggressive Design – Interior & Exterior
In terms of exterior design, the 2017 Pagani Huayra BC is going to feature a large fixed rear wing which will help it corner at higher speeds than the original. On top of that, the car will be quite a bit lighter due to the fact the rear wing will not need the complex hydraulic system of the previous model.
In the front, instead of the active bumper the car will likely receive an all new larger carbon fiber splitter which will work in tandem with the larger diffuser at the back. Some people also expect unique color combinations as well as new wheels and tires.
Authentic Interior
Inside the cabin, the usual Pagani quality is going to be retained to the BC as well. However, we are likely going to see more high tech features over the original such as a new infotainment unit that will be able to handle a lot more things such as lap times, GPS tracking for circuit usage and even a G-meter. The materials will be changes as well with the BC being expected to come with an Alcantara interior instead of the fully leather one of the Huayra.
Advanced Performance & Specs
Engine wise, the 2017 Pagani Huayra BC is likely going to make use of a newly developed AMG powertrain which will offer not only more power and torque but it will also be more efficient. While the details are still unknown, we expect a very similar 6 liter twin-turbocharged V12 to that found in the Huayra. However, this time around, AMG most likely worked quite a bit on the new engine in order to provide quite a bit more than the original so we do expect the car to offer up to 800 horsepower and 900 lb-ft of torque which would easily make it the most powerful non-hybrid car on the market today.
The engine would likely send all the power to the rear wheels and just like before, the gearbox would be a 7 speed sequential mounted right behind the engine in order to allow it to be mounted right in the middle of the car. There are no official performance numbers just yet but we are pretty sure that it will be faster to 60 MPH and it will have a similar top speed to its lesser sibling.
Also, on top of that, we expect the times on various race-tracks to be better than those posted by the LaFerrari, Porsche 918 or even the McLaren P1 simply because the Huayra BC will be built specifically to do that.
2017 Pagani Huayra BC Price & Release date
There is still no official release date available for now but the car has been spied testing in numerous occasions and last time, it was wearing a rather tight camouflage and it looked to be production ready. Just like with the Huayra, the car is expected to cost well over one million dollars, most likely closer to $3 million for the BC which is only going to be built in 20 units.
All of these will receive some special attention from Pagani such as unique numbering, a lot of changes on the outside as well as a slightly sportier interior. The engine on the other hand is likely going to be identical to that found on the upcoming Cabriolet.
The major competitor is the upcoming Bugatti Chiron.
